Sunflower Meal (also known as Sunflower seeds meal) is an excellent source of protein for all animals including poultry, swine, and ruminants. It is also used for human consumption as a dietary supplement for protein, energy and minerals.

Sunflower meals can be used in fish feeds, pet foods, poultry feeds, swine feeds, ruminant feeds, dairy feeds, pet foods, pet foods, aquaculture feeds, growing ration, and compound feed. Sunflower meal is an excellent protein source for all animals. Poultry especially likes sunflowers and will eat them right out of the shell. Sunflowers are also high in linolenic acid which has a positive effect on fowl skin and egg yolk color. Sunflower meal provides sulfur amino acids to help improve egg production as well as proper bone development. Sunflower seeds are rich in vitamins such as thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), pyridoxine (B6), and vitamins A and D. Sunflower meals are known for their ability to reduce the dustiness of feed ingredients by up to 25 percent depending upon the quality of the sunflower seed being processed. When added at 1-5% levels to dry mixes containing any type of grain or oilseed meals it cuts down on dustiness considerably while increasing palatability through its rich flavor.
